SFPCL stands as a bridge between traditional farming wisdom and modern opportunities. Through our vision and mission, we aim to empower every member farmer to thrive, innovate, and grow sustainably.
SFPCL has launched several impactful projects aimed at improving farmer livelihoods and sustainability. These include setting up a strawberry cold storage and pulping facility, initiating punnet manufacturing for affordable packaging, and partnering with hydroponic centers to produce low-cost pesticides and fungicides. These projects collectively reduce input costs, enhance post-harvest value, and strengthen market linkages for small and tribal farmers.
SFPCL began by organizing collective marketing of tomatoes and grapes produced by its member farmers. In 2014-15, 450 tons of tomatoes were sold to processors like Capricon Food Products and Varun Agro, earning farmers ₹10–15 more per crate compared to market prices.
Under the National Horticulture Mission, SFPCL established two pack houses and a Farmer Facility Center in the Vani cluster. Grading and sorting of grapes and tomatoes were conducted here, leading to higher value realization.
Between 2017–2020, SFPCL procured and transported over 2,500 MT of onions to cities like Chennai, Trichy, and Bangalore. In 2019, 50 MT of onions were exported to Italy as a trial, receiving positive feedback — laying the foundation for future export plans.
